Yana: The Watercolorist

Meet Yana

Yana Yashina discovered her love for watercolors after she studied Oil Painting and Drawing at Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore. Yana believes in a balanced artistic practice where a skill is an equal focus to inspiration and creativity. Even though watercolor painting is her primary medium, she also finds time to explore: oil and acrylic painting, alcohol and sumi inks, plaster, graphite drawing and pastels. Her work can be found in homes across the country and over a dozen countries worldwide. Yana has returned to Lancaster, with her husband and two children, to share her love for art making with the community.
