Studio Art & Drawing
SA 0250 Thursdays 7-9pm
$35/class, $350/course (11 weeks)
Join artist Lindsey Márton O’Brien of Lumina Noctis for autumn-inspired studio art classes! This course focuses on learning fundamental drawing and painting techniques and further developing art skills in a positive environment. Throughout this course, we will learn techniques for drawing portraits, explore new possibilities and styles through the expressive and surreal world of fantasy art, and further refine our drawing and painting skills by observing autumnal- themed botanical still life setups. In each class, we will cultivate an inspiring sketchbook, exercise multifaceted techniques for encouraging lifelong artistic expression, practice free form calligraphy / hand lettering, and learn tools for creative brainstorming. All classes will be held in a welcoming atmosphere with tea, as we nourish our creative souls with the revitalizing inspiration of autumn.

Figure Drawing & Painting Open Studio with Live Model
SA 0010 Mondays 6-9pm
Join us for the opportunity to study and draw/paint from the nude human figure. Our models range in variety of body types which are consistently challenging and great practice for building artistic skills and inspiration. We begin with several 5-minute poses for warm up
and then continue with longer studies of 30 minutes or more.
All skill levels are welcome, as long as everyone is serious about the practice. We are laid back and open to suggestions for poses, lighting, duration of pose, etc... So feel free to be part of our creative process. We have art furniture to use; just bring your art materials and $10 to go toward the cost of paying the model. (every week)
